Call for Artists after COVID

In the last few months while Italy was in lock-down, we have been posting images with the works of past artists in residence. The situation here is now in the 2nd phase with many restrictions being lifted, museums and archaeological sites reopening. Italy’s borders with the EU are about to be opened on 3 June. Although there are still uncertainties, we are hopeful that residencies will be possible this fall. We have therefore extended the application period for Fall 2020 to 30 June. APPLY!! @ C.R.E.T.A. Rome

Our international residencies for ceramicists, visual artists and writers include a semi-private equipped studio in a 16th-century palace in the historical center of Rome, accommodation and technical assistance in procuring materials for your work, firings, etc., advice on museums, galleries and sites in Rome and beyond. The final group show gives artists an opportunity to exhibit their work produced during the residency.

c.r.e.t.a. rome's residency in the countryside is still in Rome, but lies on the border with the nearest town, Anguillara Sabazia, one of three Medieval towns on the lake of Bracciano. This option is particularly attractive for collaborative projects and/or ceramic artists who work with reduction firing as well as non-ceramic artists who prefer a private studio. Spouses/companions and/or children are also welcome. Accommodation is in a 1-bedroom house with a garden and private studio.
