“Into the Looking Glass” of Canadian artist Stephanie Hanes AIR 2015 “is an investigation into my struggle with coming to terms with my femininity, reflecting on what it is to be a woman and mother today. Each figure is an expression of an internal reality serving as form of self portrait, for which I am contemplating notions of physicality that is associated with feminine worth.
